Tongwei Co., Ltd.: Company’s Heterojunction Module Power Breaks World Record Again
On the evening of March 5, Tongwei Co., Ltd. (600438) announced that its global innovation and research development center, THC, has achieved a new milestone. The high-efficiency heterojunction module, sized at 2384 x 1303 mm, has reached a power output of 783.2W, with a conversion efficiency surpassing 25.21%. This achievement once again breaks the power record previously set by Tongwei itself and marks the eighth time it has set a world record for heterojunction module power.
However, it is important to note that the photovoltaic heterojunction technology is still transitioning from experimental to mass production and has not yet secured a dominant position in the industry’s mainstream market. As a result, this recent breakthrough in module power is not expected to significantly impact the company’s production operations or financial status in 2025.
