8.4GWh! Nine energy storage companies secure major contracts
Recently, several companies, including Xiamen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Electric Power Times, and Sungrow Power Supply, have collectively won contracts totaling 8.4GWh.
0.473 yuan/Wh! Six companies including CRRC, Electric Power, and Sungrow shortlisted for Huadian’s 6GWh energy storage system procurement
On March 18, China Huadian Group announced the shortlisted candidates for its 2025 6GWh energy storage system procurement, with CRRC Zhuzhou Institute, Electric Power Times, Sungrow Power Supply, Tebian Electric, YESTECH, and State Grid Nanjing Automation among the selected companies. Additionally, Huadian Science and Technology, Haibos Innovation, and BYD are listed as backup candidates.
Approximately 67 companies participated in this bulk procurement, with 66 valid bids ranging from 0.4563 to 0.5455 yuan/Wh, averaging 0.4877 yuan/Wh. However, the final bid results showed that some companies adjusted their prices downward.
The evaluation results indicated that the bid prices for the nine shortlisted candidates ranged from 0.4583 to 0.486 yuan/Wh, with an average price of 0.4751 yuan/Wh. The top six candidate companies had an average bid of 0.4730 yuan/Wh, while the backup candidates had higher bids of 0.4738, 0.486, and 0.4784 yuan/Wh.
According to the tender documents, the procurement involves 0.5C and 0.25C energy storage systems, requiring individual battery capacities of at least 314Ah and a five-year overall warranty.
3 years, 2GWh! New Energy Technology secures energy storage contract
Recently, Xiamen New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shenzhen Hailiang Technology Co., Ltd.. The two companies will collaborate on industrial and commercial energy storage safety technology and transportation energy infrastructure.
This partnership aims to deliver 2GWh of energy storage systems over three years, which is sufficient to meet the charging needs of over 100,000 electric vehicles. Utilizing New Energy’s secure architecture and Hailiang’s application-based solutions, they will cover cutting-edge fields such as low-altitude economy, advanced aerial transport, EVOLT flying vehicle vertiport stations, and ultra-fast charging networks, thus solidifying the foundation of energy storage safety in a market valued at hundreds of billions.
400MWh energy storage project awarded to Nandu Power Supply
Recently, Nandu Power Supply successfully won the bid for a 100MW/400MWh independent shared energy storage station project in Yumen City, Gansu Province. The project will feature Nandu’s Center L Plus liquid-cooled energy storage system, which will utilize self-developed 314Ah energy storage batteries designed with pre-lithiation technology to enhance cycling efficiency and minimize lithium consumption.
This battery maintains a lifespan of 12,000 cycles and up to 20 years, with individual energy exceeding 1000Wh and volumetric energy density surpassing 390Wh/L.
