2025 International Hydrogen Energy Conference Set to Boost Market Demand and Supply

2025

From March 26 to 28, the “2025 International Hydrogen Energy Conference and International Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry Exhibition” will be held at the National Convention Center in Beijing, organized by the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance and the China Electric Power Enterprise Federation. Hydrogen energy is considered the “ultimate energy source of the 21st century,” capable of producing energy three times that of gasoline while only emitting water.

According to a report by Everbright Securities, in 2020, the penetration rate of green hydrogen in China was approximately 2%. Since 2021, the number of green hydrogen demonstration projects in the country has consistently increased, marking a new phase of large-scale demonstrations of hydrogen production through water electrolysis. With the introduction of high-capacity electrolyzers, some projects are beginning to explore commercial operational models.

Huabao Securities points out that with the implementation of relevant policies, the supply and demand across the various stages of hydrogen energy—from production, storage, transportation, to application—are expected to experience double growth. The active investment and financing activities in the industry are likely to drive the expansion of the hydrogen energy market. In the medium to long term, the improvement of hydrogen energy infrastructure will enhance the scale of the entire industry chain, emphasizing the commercialization processes of hydrogen refueling station construction, hydrogen storage and transportation, and core components of fuel cells.

According to the Financial Associated Press theme database, among the related listed companies, Xiongtao Co., Ltd. has established a strategic position in key areas of the hydrogen energy industry chain including hydrogen production, membrane electrodes, fuel cell stacks and systems, and vehicle operations. Shenghui Technology can independently produce hydrogen generation equipment from water electrolysis with capacities ranging from 5 Nm3/h to 1000 Nm3/h, as well as hydrogen purification equipment.
