Shanghai: Enhancing the connection of green electricity resources within and outside the city to support the green electricity needs of intelligent computing cloud enterprises. On March 25, the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission released a notice regarding the implementation opinions on promoting innovation and development in the intelligent computing cloud industry from 2025 to 2027.

The notice encourages intelligent computing cloud enterprises to connect to the city’s intelligent scheduling platform to comprehensively reduce their network and computing costs. Green electricity pricing and energy services in the Shanghai electricity market were addressed by the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission.

Patents for Energy Storage Systems: On March 25, the National Intellectual Property Administration published a new batch of intellectual property patents. According to incomplete statistics from the North Star Energy Network, there are a total of 32 core patents related to energy storage systems.

Demonstration Projects: An estimated investment of 3 billion yuan is planned for the hydrogen energy full industry chain project in Zhangye, Gansu. The Zhangye Municipal Government recently announced plans for the hydrogen production and utilization project, focusing on water electrolysis, methanol production, and hydrogen-based microgrid technology.

The project includes the establishment of a 150 MW/600 MWh large-scale independent energy storage station and various demonstration projects for hydrogen production, storage, transportation, and usage.

Midea’s New Energy Company: Reported a 303% year-on-year increase in household energy storage income, projecting profitability in 2024. On March 25, Hekang New Energy disclosed its financial report, showing an operating income of 4.776 billion yuan in 2024, a significant increase from the previous year.

Shandong Lubei Base: The bidding results for the 300 MW/600 MWh independent shared energy storage project were announced on March 25. The candidates for the EPC contract include Yantai Dongyuan Power Engineering Co., Ltd. and Shandong Environmental Energy Design Institute Co., Ltd., with a bidding price of 801,459,169.4 yuan.

Tailing Micro: Reported a performance increase driven by intelligent energy storage BMS technology. The company expects a net profit of 35 million yuan in Q1 2025, a turnaround from a loss in the previous year.
