Source: Energy Headquarter Date: 2025-03-22 Energy Headquarter (chuneng365) is pleased to present a report highlighting significant developments in the energy sector. The report aims to facilitate discussions, exchanges, and collaborations among stakeholders.

This report focuses on the national energy policy, which includes the release of the “2025 Energy Security Plan”. This plan emphasizes strengthening safety management of energy generation and distribution. Locally, the “2025 Carbon Neutrality and Industrial Development Plan” has been published, aiming for systematic advancements in renewable energy production and infrastructure development.

In the direction of sustainability, several plans have been proposed, including the “New Energy Development Plan (2025-2030)”, promoting the establishment of energy storage facilities and efficiency improvements. The plan encourages international cooperation on renewable energy projects and aims to boost energy production capacity significantly.

By 2024, the energy storage sector is expected to reach a capacity of 12.3GW, as reported by WoodMacKenzie and the American Clean Power Association (ACP). The anticipated increase represents a growth of approximately 33% compared to 2023 figures. The energy storage industry has demonstrated strong resilience, with the potential to exceed 1,250MW of installed capacity by 2024.

China’s energy sector is also expected to see substantial growth, with a focus on developing solar and wind energy solutions. By 2025, a target of 800GW for new energy installations is set, accompanied by the addition of 15.2 billion CNY in investment for energy projects.

In terms of energy policy, the government has outlined measures to enhance the security and efficiency of energy resources. The State Energy Administration is spearheading efforts to diversify energy sources, focusing on solar, wind, and geothermal energy development.

The report also highlights the importance of integrating advanced technologies, such as AI and smart grids, into energy systems to optimize performance and reduce carbon emissions effectively.

Several projects are currently in the pipeline, including the “New Energy Storage Project” which aims to reach a capacity of 5GWh by 2025. This initiative will involve various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.

To facilitate these advancements, the government plans to provide support through funding, regulatory frameworks, and collaborative partnerships with private sectors. The goal is to create a robust and resilient energy network that meets future demands while adhering to environmental standards.

Future developments in energy storage technologies and renewable energy generation will play a critical role in achieving China’s energy security and sustainability goals.
