TBEA Secures Patent for Distributed Photovoltaic Box Transformer to Reduce Ineffective Power in the Grid

TBEA

Tebian Electric Apparatus Surveying & Designing Co., Ltd. has recently secured a patent for a distributed photovoltaic box transformer, which is expected to contribute significantly to reducing ineffective power in the grid. The information from the National Intellectual Property Administration indicates that the patent, officially titled “Distributed Photovoltaic Box Transformer“, was granted to both Tebian Electric’s Beijing Tianjin Hebei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and Tebian Electric Intelligent Electrical Co., Ltd.. The patent was officially published under announcement number CN 222654836 U, with an application date of February 2024.

The patent summary reveals that this utility model introduces a distributed photovoltaic box transformer, which features a high-voltage room, a low-voltage room, and a transformer room arranged in a product shape. Inside the transformer room, a transformer is installed, while the high-voltage room contains a combined vacuum circuit breaker, a measuring current transformer, a bus cable, and an outgoing cable. The combined vacuum circuit breaker is connected to the bus cable, and on the side of the high-voltage room that is opposite to the transformer room, an SVG high-voltage room is also included. Within the SVG high-voltage room, an SVG vacuum circuit breaker and an SVG incoming cable are installed, linking the SVG vacuum circuit breaker to an external reactive power compensation device.

This innovative design employs a reactive power compensation device to address ineffective power, helping to maintain the system’s power factor within a reasonable range. This advancement not only aids in reducing ineffective power in the grid but also enhances grid efficiency. Furthermore, the system can stabilize grid voltage, thereby minimizing voltage fluctuations and improving overall grid stability.

According to information from Tianyancha, Tebian Electric’s Beijing Tianjin Hebei Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 2018 in Tianjin and primarily focuses on research and development. The company has a registered capital of 300 million RMB, with the same amount in paid-in capital. Data analysis shows that the company has invested in four external enterprises, participated in 448 bidding projects, holds 215 patents, and possesses 114 administrative licenses.
