JinkoSolar Co., Ltd. has recently announced the delivery of 740MW of N-type TOPCon high-efficiency bifacial modules for the Hengyuan New Energy collaborative project. This initiative supports the full-scale operation of the 500MW photovoltaic project in Zhangbei and the 240MW photovoltaic project in Guyuan. As a key component of the “integrated source-grid-load-storage” demonstration project in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, these projects combine photovoltaic power generation, smart grids, and computational power needs to provide stable and clean electricity for regional data center clusters, creating a beneficial cycle of “green electricity nurturing computational power, which in turn promotes consumption.”
The Zhangbei 500MW photovoltaic project is set to become the core source of green electricity for the data industry base in Huailai, Zhangjiakou. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate 800 million kWh annually, meeting the high energy demands of large-scale data centers. The project will also run livestock farming across 17,000 acres, effectively boosting the local agricultural economy while planning to construct a 300MW/600MWh energy storage project to stabilize electricity generation and enhance the grid reliability for data centers.
In the Guyuan 240MW photovoltaic project, the stability and efficiency of Jinko’s N-type modules will enable annual electricity generation to cover the load demands of regional data centers and surrounding industries. The project will utilize an efficient operation system through a 220kV booster station, facilitating flexible power distribution and becoming a vital node in the green energy network surrounding the capital, thereby promoting the green transformation of the regional economy.
Both projects utilize JinkoSolar’s N-type high-efficiency bifacial modules, which offer a high bifacial gain and superior weak light performance. The overall energy output from these modules significantly surpasses that of traditional modules, with a verified generation capacity 3.1% higher per watt. Notably, N-type modules maintain high efficiency even in low light conditions, making them suitable for Zhangjiakou’s challenging climate (with an average annual sunlight exposure of 2800 hours and winter temperatures dropping to -30°C), ensuring stable year-round electricity supply for data centers. This advantage has been validated across multiple projects, particularly during early morning and late evening low irradiation periods, where TOPCon components can achieve a generation gain of up to 7.4%. Furthermore, Jinko’s Tiger Neo modules come with a 30-year linear power warranty, combined with Hengyuan New Energy’s intelligent operation and maintenance system to ensure efficient management of power station assets, providing long-term reliable support.
Looking ahead, JinkoSolar will continue to increase its investment in research and development, driving further innovation in N-type technology to deliver replicable zero-carbon solutions for global data centers and smart cities.
In other news, JinkoSolar participated in the 2025 China Development Forum, discussing the synergistic benefits of solar energy and AI in fostering new global green growth dynamics.
