On March 25, 2025, LG Energy Solution (LGES) revealed a partnership with Polska Grupa Energetyczna (PGE) to supply energy storage batteries. This collaboration is set to provide a total of 981MWh of energy storage capacity. The contract is valued at approximately 15.5 billion Polish zloty (around 4.01 billion USD).

LGES is transitioning its production lines to focus on energy storage batteries, which will enhance the company’s output capabilities. The partnership aims to meet the growing demand for energy storage systems, particularly for electric vehicles.

PGE, Poland’s largest state-owned energy company, serves around 600,000 households and businesses. The energy storage project will be located in the north of Poland, with a planned capacity of 1GWh expected to be operational by 2027.

Moreover, LGES is also collaborating with Delta Electronics to supply an additional 4GWh energy storage systems to the U.S. market, specifically designed to support renewable energy integration.

The U.S. residential energy storage market is projected to grow significantly from 1.28 million units in 2022 to 6.76 million units by 2030, with an estimated market value of 47.4 billion USD.

Currently, LGES is focusing on enhancing its energy storage technology, which includes various applications such as grid stabilization and renewable energy management.

As part of its future initiatives, LGES is committed to investing in renewable energy solutions and advancing energy storage technologies to meet the rising energy demands globally.
