The price for 2.0mm backing glass is RMB 12.5/㎡, which is an increase of 8.7%.
Looking ahead, it is estimated that prices across the photovoltaic supply chain will collectively rise in Q2 2025, driven by a surge in demand due to Chinese policy support for the photovoltaic industry. The component supply is expected to tighten, with a peak in demand anticipated in March and April.
On March 21, the Economic and Information Technology Bureau of the Tianfu New Area in Sichuan released measures to support the sustainable development of the photovoltaic manufacturing industry. These measures aim to reduce energy costs and address current challenges faced by the photovoltaic sector.
