China and State Power Investment Corporation Launch Major Electric Vehicle Charging Station Initiative

China

Electric vehicles are gaining traction, and major players are stepping up! In the era of Hengde, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has initiated a project termed “Electric Vehicle Charging Station Planning.”

As of April 2, 2025, CNPC has been rapidly expanding its electric vehicle charging operations. This new energy venture, which operates under the slogan “Energy Resource Integration,” aims to significantly enhance the infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations. The project envisions the establishment of over 500 new charging stations this year, with a long-term goal of reaching 10,000 stations.

In a recent announcement, CNPC revealed that it has entered into a partnership with Hengde to collaborate on building a comprehensive charging network. This initiative is set to enhance the operational efficiency of electric vehicle supply chains and aims to meet the growing demand in the market. The collaboration will also facilitate the construction of an extensive network of charging stations, with a target of 30,000 to 40,000 stations in the near future.

Additionally, Hengde has expressed its commitment to developing cutting-edge electric vehicle technology, particularly in the realm of battery technology. As part of this effort, CNPC and Hengde plan to jointly promote sustainable energy solutions and improve the overall efficiency of electric vehicle operations.

Both companies have stated that they will focus on integrating production and resources, operating under a model that combines “production cooperation with resource collaboration.” This approach will streamline electric vehicle supply chains and enhance the overall efficiency of charging operations.

Furthermore, CNPC has set ambitious goals for the future. By 2025, the company aims to build 1,000 charging stations and achieve a cumulative target of 10,000 stations. By 2030, they plan to expand this number to between 30,000 and 40,000 stations. This expansion aligns with the increasing demand for electric vehicles and the need for a robust charging infrastructure.

As part of their strategy, CNPC and Hengde are also enhancing their marketing and operations to ensure a strong presence in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market. The partnership is expected to lead to significant advancements in electric vehicle technology and infrastructure development.

In conclusion, the collaboration between CNPC and Hengde marks a pivotal moment in the electric vehicle industry, promising to enhance the infrastructure and technology necessary to support the future of sustainable transportation.
