On March 31, the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum held the China-Nordic Sustainable Development and Innovation Forum and the Star Green Smart Energy Industry Ecosystem Forum under the theme “Green Energy Transformation: Innovation Drives the Future.” The events took place at the Zhongguancun International Innovation Center and the Zhongguancun Yonghe Star Technology Park.
The morning session of the forum, organized by the Dongcheng District People’s Government and hosted by various organizations, including the Swedish Environmental Research Institute and Beijing Zhongchuang Carbon Investment Technology Co., Ltd., focused on the topics of “Digital Intelligence in Green Low-Carbon Industries” and “Hydrogen Energy Supporting Carbon Double Control Transformation.” It brought together renowned scientists, scholars, entrepreneurs, and investors from around the globe to discuss accelerating the integration of wind, solar, and hydrogen energy into a comprehensive energy system. This aims to stabilize the supply chain of the new energy industry and promote accessibility and innovation in green products and technologies, thus fostering new productive forces.
During his speech, Ma Jianfeng, the Party Secretary and Chairman of Beijing Hangxing Machine Manufacturing Co., Ltd., highlighted that the Hangxing Technology Park, known as a characteristic industrial park of Zhongguancun, is strategically focused on digital energy, artificial intelligence, and green low-carbon industries. He emphasized its dual role as a “connector” and “accelerator” to promote the alignment of technology standards between China and Europe and to assist in the global expansion of China’s green production capacity.
In the afternoon, the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum Star Green Smart Energy Industry Ecosystem Forum took place at the Zhongguancun Yonghe Star Technology Park. This forum concentrated on advancing the digital transformation and sustainable development of green low-carbon industries, fostering practical collaboration on advanced green technologies, and mobilizing collective efforts towards sustainable energy development. It aimed to inject substantial momentum into cultivating new productive forces and enabling the green transformation across various sectors.
Several cutting-edge scientific and technological projects participated in the pitching session. Additionally, a roundtable discussion themed “Sustainable Energy and the Future of Humanity” allowed guests to engage in in-depth discussions about the challenges and opportunities in sustainable energy development, as well as technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
