On April 3, 2025, Shenzhen—Deep Stone Group and LONGi Green Energy officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the Carbon Neutral Experiment Park in the Shenzhen Biocircle No. 3. The two companies will collaborate to establish benchmark demonstration projects in key global regions, promoting the deep integration of new energy technologies with low-carbon communities to facilitate a global transition to green and low-carbon practices. This event also featured the “Green Value CEO Roundtable Forum,” which welcomed numerous representatives from international organizations and industry leaders, including representatives from the UNHCR, UNICEF, the Global Innovation Center for the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, Vanke Group founder Wang Shi, LONGi Green Energy Chairman Zhong Baoshan, Bernd Dallmann, Chairman of the European Environment Foundation, and Liao Jiajun, President of the Qatar Science and Technology Park.
During the forum, guests engaged in in-depth discussions on “New Paths for Green Value Chain Cooperation.” Wang Shi and Zhong Baoshan exchanged insights on the “Industrial Symbiosis Economic Model in the Context of Carbon Neutrality.” Wang Shi discussed the direction of green building and sustainable urban development, emphasizing the need for architecture to harmonize with the environment and embody sustainable development principles. He recounted his journey from focusing on green buildings in 2006 to engaging in carbon-neutral communities by 2021, highlighting the importance of long-term innovation and green development.
“The future of green buildings relies not only on technological innovation but also on economic feasibility and social acceptance,” he stated. Wang also shared Vanke’s experience transitioning from a traditional construction developer to a comprehensive urban service provider, stressing the role of community renovation and system optimization in building green cities. He believes that green buildings and sustainable urban development will be core to future growth.
Zhong Baoshan expressed his admiration for Wang Shi’s entrepreneurial spirit, acknowledging his commitment to global green development as a model to emulate. He reflected on LONGi Green Energy’s development trajectory, emphasizing the company’s strong investment in the photovoltaic industry due to a profound understanding of solar power’s immense potential. “I have always dreamed that every building and every inch of roof will generate electricity. I believe that in five years, this dream will be within reach,” he remarked. Zhong pointed out that technological advancements and economies of scale have significantly reduced photovoltaic costs, making it the most viable clean energy source widely applicable to both residential solar systems and large power plants, thus driving a transformation in the energy system.
As global climate challenges and the move towards energy decarbonization intensify, solar energy is becoming a foundational energy source. LONGi Green Energy is committed to continuous innovation to support the global transition to a zero-carbon future.
The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between Deep Stone Group and LONGi Green Energy marks a new phase in their collaboration in the carbon neutrality sector. Deep Stone Group Chairman Feng Nan and LONGi Green Energy Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer Zhang Haimong signed the agreement, with witnesses including Wang Shi and Zhong Baoshan. The partnership will encompass investments in new energy projects, co-building carbon-neutral community solutions, and exploring the establishment of a new energy equity fund to promote collaborative development within the industry ecosystem. The two companies will work together to create benchmark demonstration projects in key global regions, leading the way in the new era of green and low-carbon transformation.
Zhang Haimong stated that LONGi Green Energy and Deep Stone Group would establish the “Deep Stone-LONGi Green Alliance.” Deep Stone represents a leading soft power with extensive international experience, while LONGi focuses on hardware products and green solutions. Together, they will develop and drive green innovation. This alliance is not only a resource aggregation platform but also aims to address critical industry challenges. “As an open collaboration network, Deep Stone and LONGi are just the initiators, and we welcome partners from all sectors to join us in promoting sustainable development,” he emphasized.
A significant aspect of the event was the official launch of the 2025 Global Companions Plan “1+3+N,” designed to leverage the UN Climate Conference as a crucial window for global ecological cooperation, helping businesses secure a leading position in the industry. This plan will focus on key regions including Europe, America, and the Middle East, organizing multiple in-depth exchange activities centered on industry trends, global market expansion, and green investment and financing, collaboratively building a sustainable development ecosystem.
Chairman Feng Nan articulated that Biocircle No. 3 will focus on four core visions: creating carbon-neutral community energy service solutions, promoting low-carbon lifestyle community practices, establishing a globally influential green cooperation platform, and leading the transformation of value systems and lifestyle paradigms. Centered on the “beautiful life needs of people,” Biocircle No. 3 will serve as a bridge between zero-carbon parks and sustainable technology solutions, jointly advancing the green development process.
The Green Value CEO Roundtable Forum invited several international organizations and industry leaders to engage in in-depth discussions through a hybrid format. Notable speakers included Sophie Muller, UNHCR Representative in China, Amakobe Sande, UNICEF Chief Representative in China, Massamba Thioye, Global Innovation Director of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, and Luis Neves, Global CEO of the Global Sustainability Empowerment Initiative, who explored collaborative opportunities for global green development. The discussions focused on the themes of “Reconstructing Industrial Symbiosis Economy in the Carbon Neutral Era” and “Scenario Applications of Advanced Green Solutions.”
Bernd Dallmann highlighted the lack of compensation mechanisms for carbon reduction in Europe and called for Sino-European cooperation to lower relevant costs. He emphasized the growth potential of the global photovoltaic market in regions such as Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, urging the development of more economical and durable solar products. Liao Jiajun pointed out that Qatar faces both challenges and opportunities in energy transition. The country must rely on innovative technology and policy support to promote green development, with the science and technology park enhancing energy efficiency through automation and intelligence while encouraging enterprise participation in sustainable development.
HSBC China Guangdong Regional General Manager Li Qile emphasized that companies expanding internationally need to focus on supply chain management, business model optimization, and cross-border financing. He recommended collaborating or leveraging established institutions to mitigate risks. HSBC will continue to support Chinese enterprises in exploring international markets by providing financial services that aid in sustainable development.
Additionally, the forum featured four sub-forums covering core areas such as photovoltaics, green communities, technological innovation, and finance. The photovoltaic session focused on integrating photovoltaics with buildings and the development trends of distributed energy. The German Sustainable Community session discussed Germany’s sustainable urban planning experiences and their potential applications in China.
