Zhejiang Chint Acquires Patent for High-Efficiency Photovoltaic Modules

Zhejiang

Zhengtai New Energy has successfully obtained a patent for a new type of solar photovoltaic module, aimed at enhancing the power generation efficiency of these systems. According to information from the National Intellectual Property Administration, the patent titled “Photovoltaic Module” is registered under the authorization announcement number CN 222721885 U, with an application date of June 2024.

The patent summary indicates that this utility model pertains to the field of photovoltaic technology, specifically relating to a photovoltaic module. This module consists of a front panel, a three-terminal stacked cell, a back panel, and interconnection strips, with the three-terminal stacked cell positioned between the front and back panels. The three-terminal stacked cell is made up of N-cell layers, where each cell layer includes a first battery layer, a tunneling layer, and a second battery layer. The tunneling layer is situated between the first and second battery layers, ensuring electrical connectivity between them. The top contact terminal is located on the first battery layer, a common contact terminal is on the tunneling layer, and a bottom contact terminal is on the second battery layer. The interconnection strips connect multiple cell layers in series to form a battery string.

This innovative photovoltaic module is designed to reduce current mismatch phenomena between the first and second battery layers of the three-terminal stacked cell, thereby improving the overall power generation efficiency of the module and lowering costs.
