BYD recently showcased new highlights of its Super e-platform technology during a special research event held on April 10, 2025. The event featured notable participants, including Da Cheng Fund and others. Key advancements presented included fast-charging batteries, a 30,000 RPM motor, and a new generation of automotive-grade silicon carbide power chips.
These innovations enable unprecedented charging speeds, making it the fastest in global mass production; with just 5 minutes of charging, vehicles can travel up to 400 kilometers. Additionally, the power of a single module with one motor reaches an impressive 580 kW, allowing for maximum speeds exceeding 300 km/h.
On the branding front, BYD’s personalized new energy brand, Equation Leopard, announced a brand refresh aimed at catering to a broader range of personalized vehicle needs. Furthermore, the Tengshi brand has made significant strides in international market expansion. As of the end of February 2025, Tengshi vehicles have entered over ten international markets, including Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia, with plans to officially enter the European market in April.
BYD also reported that with the growing global demand for new energy vehicles, overseas passenger car sales are projected to reach 420,000 units in 2024, marking a substantial year-on-year increase of 71.9%. For the fiscal year 2024, BYD expects to generate revenues of 777.102 billion yuan and a net profit attributable to shareholders of 40.254 billion yuan.
