The 2025 Shenzhen International Battery Technology Exchange Conference/Exhibition (CIBF2025), hosted by the China Chemical and Physical Power Sources Industry Association, will take place from May 15 to 17, 2025 at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center (Baoan). CIBF has consistently led the energy sector’s value leap through its innovative structure of “four-dimensional driving, six-in-one integration.” This involves creating four core platforms: a “global technology premiere hub,” a “full-chain ecological aggregation platform,” a “global industry collaborative center,” and a “smart experience empowerment platform.” Together, these platforms aim to build a comprehensive ecosystem for the new energy industry, covering technology transformation, industrial empowerment, international cooperation, digital interaction, zero-carbon practices, and smart energy solutions.
At this critical juncture in the global energy transition, CIBF2025 will not only showcase a panoramic view of technological innovations from foundational materials to end-use applications, but also construct an innovative ecological system and a new development paradigm characterized by “complete chain integration, aggregation of all elements, and global collaboration.” The theme for this year’s CIBF2025 is “Connecting the Global Chain • Empowering Green Solutions • Driving the Future.” The event is expected to attract over 3,000 domestic and international battery industry chain enterprises and will cover an exhibition area of 300,000 square meters. More than 400,000 professional visitors are anticipated to witness a wave of low-carbon, efficient, and intelligent technologies.
As one of the largest battery exhibitions globally, CIBF2025 will serve as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge new energy technologies. Leading companies such as CATL, BYD, and Yiwei Lithium Energy will present their latest technological achievements. This year, CATL has launched high-performance power batteries and green decarbonization solutions, BYD’s second-generation blade battery technology has made innovations in safety and energy efficiency, and Yiwei has promoted full-tab large cylindrical batteries for diverse applications. These notable technological advancements will be prominently displayed at CIBF2025.
In the fields of energy storage, materials, and equipment, top industry players like Xiongtao Co., Huaan New Materials, Leading Intelligent, Jiatong Intelligent, and Dazhu Lithium Battery will showcase their latest product technologies:
- Xiongtao Co. will present its new AI computing center backup power solution, REVO 3.0 TPX600;
- Huaan New Materials will showcase new high-energy-density materials and a new structure fluorine-core battery series;
- Leading Intelligent will demonstrate its “full value chain + full lifecycle” new intelligent manufacturing concept along with advanced technologies and solutions;
- Jiatong Intelligent will hold a solid-state battery technology exchange meeting to discuss innovative products and technologies;
- Dazhu Lithium Battery will unveil its intelligent manufacturing solutions for new energy power/storage and semi-solid/solid-state battery related equipment.
Notably, CIBF2025 is committed to promoting “Chinese technology” globally while also integrating international technologies. An “International Exchange Pavilion” will host major multinational corporations, such as Siemens, Zeiss, Schneider, Hitachi, and MIXACO, showcasing advanced solutions in intelligent manufacturing, zero-carbon production, and laser technologies. This initiative aims to facilitate mutual recognition of technology standards between China and other countries and seeks to provide an international model for the sustainable development of the new energy industry through collaborative innovation across the industrial chain.
As part of CIBF2025, the “Advanced Battery Frontier Technology Seminar” will focus on pressing industry issues. The main forum will address the theme “Green Energy Driving the Future” and will include seven sub-sessions covering advanced lithium-ion power battery technology, battery safety and evaluation, solid-state and new system batteries, high-power fast charging technology, sodium-ion batteries, key material technologies, and smart equipment and simulation.
During this event, esteemed speakers including Academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, industry experts, corporate decision-makers, and industry elites will gather to discuss the possibilities of technological breakthroughs and industry implementation. Additionally, several high-end summits will take place concurrently, including the “Electric Aviation and Aircraft Battery Technology Exchange Conference,” which aims to address the energy needs of future air transport; the “CIBICS Battery Industry Cooperation Forum” aimed at bridging the gap between industry and academia to promote technology from the lab to market; and the “Isotope Nuclear Battery Seminar,” which will explore the application potential of nuclear energy in extreme scenarios. Over 200 academic reports will be presented, summarizing current technologies and forecasting future developments.
