On April 10, 2025, Shanghai Electric and MASDAR signed a cooperation agreement for a 2GW photovoltaic project in Saudi Arabia. This event was witnessed by Wu Lei, Chairman of Shanghai Electric Group, and Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (MASDAR).
The Saydawe photovoltaic project is part of Saudi Arabia’s fifth round of the National Renewable Energy Program (NREP) and represents the largest photovoltaic EPC project undertaken by Shanghai Electric to date.
This collaboration aims to advance renewable energy initiatives in the region, contributing to a sustainable energy future.
