Forecasting Demand, Reducing Costs, and Increasing Efficiency! The first phase of the energy storage project by Chint Power in Fengyang, Anhui, has successfully commenced operations. The energy storage station, which recently connected to the grid, shines brightly under the sun.
Fengyang, once famous for its flower-drum opera and agricultural culture, has transformed from relying on natural conditions to generating electricity through solar power. Recently, the Fengyang Phase I large-scale commercial and industrial energy storage station, utilizing Chint Power’s liquid-cooled energy storage system, has successfully connected to the grid with a total capacity of 15MW/45MWh.
This station will implement peak shaving and valley filling, along with demand management based on the electricity consumption characteristics of factories, effectively reducing electricity costs. Additionally, it will serve as an emergency backup power source to ensure reliable electricity supply.
As the demand for intelligent energy management continues to rise, commercial and industrial energy storage is becoming a core strategy for companies to lower costs and enhance efficiency. After a thorough understanding of the factory’s electricity usage, Chint Power has adopted a customized solution to meet customer needs.
The Chint Power liquid-cooled energy storage system is renowned for its efficiency, safety, and high density. With an IP54 protection rating, it can adapt to various extreme environments. In terms of performance, this energy storage system employs intelligent liquid cooling temperature control technology and patented liquid cooling plate design, which not only effectively extends battery life but also improves grouping efficiency and optimizes space utilization.
The use of precise temperature differential control and advanced thermal conduction technology enhances heat exchange efficiency by 10%, ensuring the system operates efficiently and stably. Regarding reliability, the storage system features a dual fire protection system at the pack, cluster, and module levels, combined with a comprehensive insulation design to ensure safety throughout the system’s lifecycle.
The project has successfully started operations with a “two charge, two discharge” operational strategy. To accommodate the factory’s specific requirements, the station is also equipped with an intelligent demand forecasting feature. By integrating production plans, weather data, and historical electricity load, the Chint Power liquid-cooled energy storage system can effectively predict future electricity demand, dynamically optimizing the charging and discharging strategy. This allows for charging during off-peak hours and discharging during peak periods, achieving both peak shaving and demand management.
According to estimates, this functionality can help clients reduce their overall electricity costs by 15%-20%, maximizing energy utilization efficiency. In the future, Chint Power will continue to provide clients with efficient, stable, safe, and reliable energy storage system products to help them save energy and generate revenue, contributing to the energy transition.
