ESIE2025: Key Highlights of the 13th International Energy Storage Summit and Exhibition Set to Launch in April

ESIE2025:

The 13th International Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition (ESIE2025) is set to kick off from April 10 to 12, 2025, at the Beijing Capital International Exhibition Center. As one of the premier events in the global energy storage sector, this year’s exhibition will focus on the theme of “Digital Intelligence Empowering Industrial Transformation, Energy Storage Reshaping the Energy Landscape.” The event aims to bring together over 800 leading energy storage companies, more than 200,000 professional visitors, and participants from over 50 countries, creating a comprehensive platform that covers the entire energy storage industry chain, offering a rich blend of insights and technological advancements.

According to the organizers, there are six major highlights of this year’s exhibition:

  1. Creation of a Leadership Matrix in Government, Industry, Academia, and Research. A coalition of leaders from national ministries, academicians, industry experts, and corporate executives will form this matrix. This collaboration will integrate policy interpretation, technical assessment, and business decision-making to define the future of the energy storage industry for the next decade.
  2. Gathering of Renowned Global Energy Storage Companies. Major industry players such as Sungrow Power Supply, Zhongtian Technology, CATL, New Energy Storage, Haibo Innovation, and CRRC Zhuzhou Institute will headline the exhibition. Spanning over 160,000 square meters, the exhibition area will showcase comprehensive solutions across various sectors, including lithium batteries, flow batteries, sodium batteries, and hydrogen energy, offering a one-stop view of the technological trends for the next decade.
  3. Over 40 Forums Addressing Key Industry Issues. Led by academicians and supported by more than 70 authoritative experts, these forums will provide intellectual support for the development of the “14th Five-Year” energy storage plan. They will tackle pressing topics such as the challenges of new energy market entry and opportunities in overseas markets, while focusing on popular scenarios like integrated thermal storage, source-grid-load-storage systems, and energy storage for data centers, aiming to resolve commercialization challenges.
  4. Collaboration with Over 50 International Markets to Unlock New Opportunities. Mature markets in Europe, North America, and Australia will be showcased alongside emerging markets in the Middle East and Southeast Asia. The forum will include discussions on international energy storage market developments and trends, as well as dedicated spaces for global operators to connect. This initiative will link deeper with energy departments, industry associations, and project developers in countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, supporting Chinese companies in seizing opportunities in the trillion-dollar residential, large-scale, and commercial energy storage sectors.
  5. First Joint Exhibition of Six National Education-Industry Integration Platforms. This is the first time national-level energy storage education-industry integration platforms will be publicly displayed. Universities such as Xi’an Jiaotong University, Tianjin University, North China Electric Power University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and China University of Petroleum (Beijing) will unveil their innovative platforms, revealing pathways for technology transfer from laboratories to industry.
  6. Launch of Several High-Impact Industry Activities. The exhibition will debut the “2025 Energy Storage Industry Research White Paper,” alongside the 2024 series rankings of energy storage companies. Events will include the International Energy Storage Innovation Awards Ceremony, a low-carbon energy storage run, and the “Women in Energy Storage” private event, featuring over 500 global product launches and multi-billion-dollar signing ceremonies.
