Linyang Energy Showcases Innovative Solutions at South Africa’s International Solar & Storage Exhibition to Empower Africa’s Energy Transition

Linyang

Lin Yang Energy made a significant appearance at the South Africa International Solar & Energy Storage Exhibition on March 25, 2025, at the Johannesburg International Exhibition Centre. This annual event attracted numerous renowned energy companies from around the world. As a pioneer in the global zero-carbon journey, Lin Yang Energy showcased its comprehensive strength and technological highlights through its smart, storage, and new energy products and solutions, contributing to the low-carbon green development of the industry.

At the exhibition, Lin Yang Energy focused on the power infrastructure upgrade needs in Africa, prominently displaying its AMI system solutions. This solution leverages bidirectional communication technology to achieve real-time collection and analysis of electricity data, assisting clients in optimizing grid operations and reducing line losses. On the systems level, it integrates prepayment and post-payment models, supporting remote parameter configuration, fault diagnosis, and dynamic rate adjustments, significantly enhancing management efficiency and service levels. On the equipment front, a variety of internationally standard-compliant meters and concentrators were showcased, featuring anti-theft, wide temperature range, and low power consumption characteristics to adapt to Africa’s complex environment. Notably, the SMX50 series employs plug-and-play communication modules, supporting multi-protocol compatibility and has received international certifications such as DLMS/COSEM and IDIS, ensuring seamless interoperability on the AMI platform, thereby providing a safe and reliable intelligent upgrade solution for Africa’s challenging power landscape.

In the realm of energy storage products, Lin Yang Energy concentrated on diverse application scenarios. The highlight of the exhibition was the launch of its liquid-cooled PACK, Power Key® smart liquid-cooled energy storage cabinet, Power Atlantic® series liquid-cooled energy storage battery units, and Power Hub® microgrid products and system solutions. These products quickly garnered attention from a wide array of clients. The product matrix, centered on technological innovation, precisely covers commercial microgrids and grid-level storage applications, facilitating clients’ digital leap in energy management. The Power Key® smart liquid-cooled energy storage cabinet stands out due to its integrated safety design, combining multiple modules with a fully liquid-cooled design to ensure efficient energy storage and comprehensive safety guarantees, thus maintaining stable operation in extreme environments while significantly reducing overall deployment costs through modular design.

Additionally, Lin Yang Energy’s efficient N-type TOPCon solar cells and module series products, driven by industry innovation, aim to assist South Africa in building a stable and sustainable power system. Based on a global research and development perspective, the company’s module series adopts a bifacial double-glass design, featuring superior anti-hot spot characteristics that are well-suited for high-temperature arid environments, providing highly reliable solutions for mining areas, communities, and off-grid regions. Currently, Lin Yang Energy has developed and constructed over 5GW of solar photovoltaic projects, covering various complex terrains such as tidal flats, barren hills, deserts, and gobi, further aiding South Africa in reducing its dependence on fossil fuels and advancing towards a sustainable energy future.

In recent years, the African Union has introduced several planning documents including the Africa Green Energy Initiative, Africa Energy Partnership Program, Africa Energy Agreement, and the 2030 Africa Energy Strategy. These initiatives aim to encourage countries and regions to utilize renewable resources like solar, wind, and hydro to meet Africa’s growing energy and development demands. According to the International Energy Agency, it is projected that by 2030, the renewable energy market in Africa will reach a scale of hundreds of billions, marking a pivotal moment in the resonance between policy benefits and market demand for Africa’s energy transition.

With the formal operation of the African Continental Free Trade Area, the renewable energy industry is expected to transcend national boundaries, forming a regional green electricity market. This will open up new strategic opportunities for forward-thinking international companies. Africa has always been a significant region for Lin Yang Energy to implement its “going global” strategy. At this exhibition, Lin Yang Energy brought not only products and solutions but also a replicable and actionable zero-carbon development model, showcasing the innovative capabilities and responsibilities of Chinese enterprises in the global energy transition wave.

Looking ahead, Lin Yang Energy will continue to deepen its global development strategy, actively explore global markets, strengthen local cooperation networks, and accelerate the implementation of renewable energy projects worldwide, providing a “Lin Yang model” for green transitions both in Africa and globally!
