CEEC 2025: Accelerating Carbon Neutrality Goals through Innovative Energy Production

CEEC

CEEC 2025 is set to focus on new energy productivity, facilitating the acceleration of the “dual carbon” goals. The 15th China International Clean Energy Expo (CEEC 2025) officially opened at the National Convention Center in Beijing on March 26, 2025. The event is themed “Focusing on New Energy Productivity, Green Power Ecosystem Supply Chain” and spans over 50,000 square meters. It gathers 535 leading companies from around the world and showcases more than 2,000 cutting-edge technological achievements. The expo will also host 32 industry forums, attracting representatives from over 70 countries and regions to explore pathways for energy transformation, injecting new momentum for green development under the 14th Five-Year Plan.

Three Major Thematic Exhibitions Collaborate

CEEC 2025 features a collaborative matrix of three exhibitions: photovoltaics, energy storage, and hydrogen energy, creating an international platform that covers all scenarios of clean energy. This aims to build a collaborative ecological chain for the global zero-carbon economy.

  • Photovoltaics Lead: The 2025 China International Photovoltaic Innovation Application Exhibition, led by the China Photovoltaic Industry Association, showcases ultra-high-efficiency component technologies such as TOPCon and perovskite stacked cells. It presents scenario-based photovoltaic solutions to drive the industry from “scalability” to “intelligent + scenario-based” applications.
  • Energy Storage Breakthrough: The 3rd China Energy Storage Conference and Exhibition focuses on new energy storage development, discussing innovations in storage technology, safety control, planning, and effective utilization. It aims to promote the scaled application of new energy storage through authoritative releases of innovative achievements and typical case studies.
  • Hydrogen for the Future: The 4th International Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Industry Exhibition, themed “Towards New and Green, Co-create and Win Together,” comprehensively showcases the entire hydrogen energy industrial chain, including production, storage, transportation, and utilization. It highlights solutions for hydrogen production equipment and hydrogen-electric coupling, establishing itself as one of the most influential hydrogen energy exhibitions globally.

The three exhibition areas will share resources through activities such as technology roadshows, supply-demand matching, and international dialogues, achieving value empowerment across the entire chain for the collaborative development of hydrogen energy, electricity, and cross-domain technological integration. This will provide a Chinese-style systematic solution for global zero-carbon transformation.

Dual Venue Collaboration for a Comprehensive Clean Power Ecosystem

CEEC 2025 marks the first instance of dual venue collaboration utilizing both phases of the National Convention Center in Beijing, with an exhibition area exceeding 50,000 square meters. The event attracts 535 leading institutions globally. CEEC 2025 will display over 2,000 innovative products covering the entire new power system ecological supply chain, including renewable energy generation, storage, transmission, transformation, distribution, and consumption. From heterojunction photovoltaic components to megawatt-level electrolyzers, and from smart microgrid systems to zero-carbon park solutions, the expo presents a comprehensive blueprint for a new power system ecosystem.

Additionally, there will be debut product launches, technology roadshows, and interactive experience zones, providing immersive communication scenarios for industry professionals.

32 High-Level Forums Discuss Energy Transformation

CEEC 2025 will concurrently hold 32 authoritative industry forums, including the 2025 Economic Situation and Power Development Analysis Conference, the 3rd China New Energy Foreign Investment Conference, and several others. These forums will attract over 500 industry leaders to engage in deep discussions on more than 300 hot topics, covering power economic situation analysis, new energy policy interpretations, storage safety standards, cost reduction pathways for green hydrogen, cross-border investment opportunities in renewable energy, and challenges in photovoltaic applications. These discussions aim to provide strategic insights for global energy transformation.

The conference will also release the 2024 Annual Statistics on the Electrochemical Energy Storage Power Station Industry and typical case studies of innovative applications in electrochemical energy storage, outlining the latest developments in the national electrochemical energy storage platform. For the first time, the “International Business Credit Certification for Power Enterprises” will be awarded, setting a new benchmark for international cooperation in clean energy.

Supporting National Strategy and Empowering Global Transformation

CEEC focuses on new energy productivity, looking ahead to the 14th Five-Year Plan and closely aligning with the “dual carbon” goals. The event aims to lead the future of the clean energy industry through comprehensive chain collaboration, assisting in global energy transformation. From Chinese solutions to global actions, it promotes China’s clean energy efforts in global energy governance and envisions a sustainable development blueprint for humanity’s shared future.

International Ties: CEEC 2025 attracts 51 international exhibitors (10% of the total) from 14 countries and regions. Numerous international buyer groups and embassies actively participate, with attendees from over 70 countries and regions, including the USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Russia, Australia, and Japan.

Government and Enterprise Collaboration: The expo receives special support from 30 energy and power central enterprises and leading new energy companies. It builds communication bridges for government departments, industry organizations, and research institutes, creating a collaborative platform for government, industry, academia, and research to accelerate the market process of clean energy technologies from laboratories to scaled applications, helping to achieve the “dual carbon” goals.

Digital Empowerment: Online, the “CEEC Digital Platform” precisely connects supply and demand. Offline, multiple project matchmaking meetings and investment negotiations are held to facilitate efficient cooperation between upstream and downstream enterprises in the industry chain, assisting in the implementation of clean energy projects and industry collaboration. Additionally, CEEC 2025 launches an online livestream matrix featuring “live exhibition tours + conference livestreams + image livestreams,” connecting global audiences and driving industry communication and cooperation to new heights.

Innovative Technology and Immersive Experience for a Low-Carbon Life

As a preferred platform for new product launches, CEEC 2025 breaks down the barriers between technology and the public by setting up interactive science popularization zones, allowing the public to experience cutting-edge technologies in fields such as light storage and hydrogen energy up close. Leading global companies showcase their “black technology” products, including hydrogen-powered drones, fuel cell heavy trucks, smart operation and maintenance robots, extreme weather solutions for photovoltaics, and integrated light-storage charging stations. Through engaging science communication and immersive experiences, low-carbon technologies are transformed from mere concepts on display into tangible predictions for a green lifestyle.

CEEC serves as a pioneering force in clean energy education, frequently welcoming active participation from youth study groups. The expo promotes clean energy knowledge and encourages audiences to unlock the “dual carbon” code through interactive experiences, creating a low-carbon communication effect that educates one child, inspires a family, and influences society at large. CEEC 2025 also hosts the “Hydrogen Innovates the Future” green hydrogen youth painting exhibition, collecting over a thousand works depicting a low-carbon future from the perspective of young people. Additionally, various check-in and sharing activities enrich the visitor experience, allowing green concepts to permeate everyday life in an enjoyable manner.
