LG Energy Solution has announced a strategic partnership with Delta Electronics to expand the residential energy storage system (ESS) market in the United States. In a statement released on March 26, 2025, the two companies revealed that LG Energy Solution will supply a total of 4 gigawatt-hours of residential ESS batteries to Delta Electronics from 2023 to 2030. This supply is expected to meet the daily electricity needs of over 400,000 households, providing a more reliable and efficient energy storage solution for the U.S. residential market.
Importantly, LG Energy Solution plans to manufacture these residential ESS batteries locally within the United States. The announcement also noted that, beyond the current collaboration, both companies are eager to explore deeper cooperation in the residential, grid, and commercial ESS markets in the future. By leveraging their respective strengths in technology, market presence, and product innovation, LG Energy Solution and Delta Electronics aim to jointly promote the research and application of energy storage technologies.
