LG Energy Solution has announced a strategic partnership with Delta Electronics, a leading provider of power management and energy solutions, to expand the residential energy storage system (ESS) market in the United States. According to a joint statement released on March 26, 2025, LG Energy Solution will supply Delta Electronics with a total of 4 GWh of residential storage system batteries from 2023 to 2030. This amount of battery storage is sufficient to meet the daily energy needs of over 400,000 households, providing a more reliable and efficient energy storage solution for the U.S. residential market.
Notably, LG Energy Solution will manufacture these residential energy storage batteries within the United States. The statement also indicated that in addition to the current collaboration, LG Energy Solution and Delta Electronics are keen to explore deeper cooperation in the residential, grid, and commercial ESS markets in the future. Both companies aim to leverage their strengths in technology, market presence, and product innovation to jointly advance the research and application of energy storage technologies.
