Nailable solar shingle is now 23% more powerful-GAF Energy

GAF Energy has launched the Timberline Solar ES 2 nailable shingle, which offers a 23% power increase, generating 57 watts per shingle. Key features include a larger surface area for faster installation, improved installation efficiency, and compatibility with the GAF Timberline collection. The shingle also has refined aesthetics and meets rigorous safety standards, with production in Georgetown, Texas, and San Jose, California.

GAF Energy has introduced the upgraded Timberline Solar nailable shingle, named the ES 2, which offers 23% more power per shingle, generating 57 watts of energy.

Key improvements to the Timberline Solar ES 2, which builds on the original product launched in 2022, include:

  • Increased Power Output: Each shingle now delivers 57 watts, marking a 23% enhancement in energy generation.
  • Larger Surface Area: The shingle’s design provides more area than traditional asphalt shingles, allowing for faster installation.
  • Enhanced StrikeZone: This feature improves installation efficiency and ease of use.
  • Compatibility: The ES 2 integrates seamlessly with the entire GAF Timberline shingle collection.
  • Refined Aesthetics: Smaller transition boxes and simplified wiring contribute to a more streamlined appearance.

With a depth of less than a quarter inch, the Timberline Solar ES 2 integrates smoothly with traditional GAF shingles, providing a sleek look. The Timberline Solar ES 2 is developed and assembled at GAF Energy’s facilities in Georgetown, Texas, and San Jose, California.
