Chint New Energy to Establish Turkey’s First Fully-Foreign-Owned Solar Cell Factory

Chint

Zhejiang Chint New Energy has announced plans to invest in the construction of its first fully foreign-owned solar cell factory in Turkey. According to the agreement, Chint New Energy will establish an advanced TOPCon battery production line, with plans for 80% of its output to be exported. Previously, Chint New Energy had already set up a photovoltaic module factory in Turkey.

This factory development is a significant part of Turkey’s High-Tech Incentive Program (HIT-30), which was launched by the Turkish government in July 2024. The program aims to attract international companies to invest in sectors such as electric vehicles, semiconductors, batteries, and renewable energy, with a total investment target of $30 billion.
