SHEIN has announced its goal to achieve a carbon reduction of 3.5 million tons by the summer of 2024. By 2024, SHEIN plans to utilize approximately 6.5 billion kWh of renewable energy, which represents a remarkable 150% increase compared to previous years. This energy consumption is equivalent to the annual electricity usage of over 1 million households, resulting in a carbon reduction of 3.5 million tons.

Furthermore, SHEIN is committed to increasing the use of green energy in its supply chain, with reports indicating that around 80% of its energy will come from renewable sources. The company is also focusing on enhancing energy efficiency within its operations.

By utilizing renewable energy sources, SHEIN aims to promote sustainable practices across its supply chain and contribute to a greener environment. Their projections indicate that the integration of solar energy will increase the share of sustainable energy in their operations by approximately 180% by the end of 2024.
