CIPIE2025 Sichuan Electric Power Exhibition: Focusing on New Power Systems to Promote the Integrated Development of Green Energy
Today is April 9, 2025, and there are 12,684 days left until carbon neutrality in 2060. The energy sector is the main battleground in achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals, with electricity being the key player. As the construction of new power systems accelerates, significant changes are occurring in the power supply structure, grid form, control modes, and supply-demand interactions. These transformations, driven by favorable policies and technological advancements, are expected to create new investment opportunities. All segments including sources, networks, loads, and storage are poised to benefit. This presents a historic opportunity for traditional electricity sectors to upgrade to new power systems and has become a new competitive arena for countries striving for economic advancement.
Approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, the 22nd China International Electric Power Industry Expo and Green Energy Equipment Expo (hereinafter referred to as CIPIE2025 Sichuan Electric Power Exhibition) will be held from May 15 to 17, 2025, at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year’s exhibition will cover a total area of 33,000 square meters, featuring over 500 renowned companies from more than 100 countries and regions, with an expected attendance of 50,000 professional visitors.
CIPIE2025 Sichuan Electric Power Exhibition will showcase the strength of Sichuan’s electric power energy industry. In recent years, China has made remarkable progress in clean power generation, reliable power transmission, and efficient power consumption. Leveraging its unique institutional and mechanistic advantages, the country has consistently transformed cutting-edge technological innovations into robust manufacturing capabilities. It has built the world’s largest power system, enabling 1.4 billion people to overcome “energy poverty” and achieving 100% electrification across its land territory, while also maintaining and continuously breaking records for the longest stable operation of large power grids.
Under the guidance of the “dual carbon” goals, China is accelerating its energy structure transformation, with new energy development entering a fast lane. Sichuan, being the largest clean energy base in the country, consistently holds the top position in hydropower installed capacity and has tremendous potential for the development of wind and solar energy. These advantages provide significant opportunities for Sichuan to build new power systems and promote the integrated development of green energy.
The CIPIE Sichuan Electric Power Exhibition, rooted in Sichuan’s electric power energy industry, has thrived for 21 years, witnessing the emergence of various high-end new products and technologies. More than 500 enterprises from over 100 countries and regions have chosen this platform to expand their market reach and unlock new opportunities. The previous exhibition alone attracted over 750 million yuan in agreements and intended investment cooperation, setting a record for the largest scale in history.
The exhibition aims to create a “growth pole” for the electric power energy industry by expanding the spillover effects of its “1+N+N” innovation model. It will focus on the achievements related to new power systems and energy structures, showcasing innovative products and technologies in the electric power sector worldwide.
Notably, this year’s exhibition will coincide with the China International Conference on the Development and Application of New Power Systems and several specialized conferences. By employing the “1+N+N” innovative model, which consists of one main conference plus multiple specialized sessions, procurement matchmaking events, product launches, signing ceremonies, and roundtable discussions, the exhibition will facilitate industry exchanges and collaborations, promoting high-quality development in the electric power sector. Topics for the specialized conferences will delve into the construction of new power systems and energy structures, new energy storage, integrated multi-energy systems, green hydrogen, fuel cells, and charging and swapping technologies. Over 100 authoritative experts in the field of electric energy will be invited to attend, and more than 100 reputable media outlets will provide comprehensive coverage of the events.
The CIPIE2025 Sichuan Electric Power Exhibition is set to actively explore pathways for industry development, deepen cooperative consensus, and create shared market opportunities. It aims to provide a one-stop, multidimensional information network, resource pool, and trading hub for countless enterprises, businesses, and scholars seeking information, opportunities, and transformation, truly realizing the potential of “exhibition” as a medium to bolster the growth of the electric power energy industry cluster.
