As the demand for energy continues to rise, the energy storage industry faces increasing challenges and competition. Jiangsu industrial enterprises are focused on expanding their energy storage capabilities to meet the growing market demands. In recent years, the energy storage sector has gained significant traction, with Jiangsu being a key player in this field.

According to industry reports, by 2024, Jiangsu’s energy storage capacity is expected to reach approximately 180.5 GWh. The total planned projects from industrial enterprises have already surpassed 3,500, with a combined scale of 3.03 GW/6.75 GWh. By 2025, Jiangsu’s energy storage market is set to develop rapidly, with 396 projects under construction expected to achieve a total scale of 1.58 GWh in early 2025.

The Jiangsu province is accelerating the development of energy storage projects, supported by strong governmental policies and increased investment in renewable energy sources. The upcoming energy storage conference, scheduled for April 17-18, 2025, aims to discuss the future of energy storage and its integration into the market.

Recent data indicates that Jiangsu’s total energy production value for 2024 is projected to reach 90.1 billion yuan, marking a 5.5% increase compared to the previous year. Jiangsu ranks fourth among provinces in terms of electricity consumption, following Guangdong, Shandong, and Henan.

As a major electricity consumer, Jiangsu’s demand for energy continues to rise, with expectations that the electricity consumption will hit 6.78 trillion kWh by 2024. This includes substantial industrial electricity consumption, which is projected to reach 4.515 trillion kWh, reflecting an increase of 7.8% year-on-year.

The energy storage industry in Jiangsu is also benefiting from the government’s supportive policies, which have enabled significant advancements in technology and infrastructure. The industry is expected to see a robust increase in demand for energy storage solutions, especially as the market for electric vehicles and renewable energy sources continues to grow.

In conclusion, Jiangsu’s energy storage market is poised for rapid growth, driven by increased demand, supportive government policies, and advancements in technology. As the competition intensifies, the ability of Jiangsu’s industrial enterprises to innovate and adapt will be crucial to maintaining their strong position in the energy storage sector.
